Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Botulinum toxin, commonly referred to by one of its brand names, Botox®, is a highly refined protein used in aesthetic medicine to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, offering a fresher, more youthful complexion.

Botulinum Toxin (Type A) is injected with a fine needle into specific muscles with only minor discomfort. We offer a range of botulinum toxin injections. This treatment is most effective when used as a preventative method but also treats facial wrinkles and/or overactive facial muscles, migraines, ‘Bruxism’ (masseter muscle slimming), excessive sweating, brow lifting, and to relax the mentalis muscle for those with strong dimples or mental creases in their chins.

Is the effect immediate?

It can take between 4 and 14 days for improvements in the appearance of the treated area to show.

How long do the effects of Botulinum toxin last?

The effects usually last for around three months, although this may vary by individual.

Post Treatment

Exercise should be avoided for 24 hours after treatment, and the area should not be massaged for three days. You should remain in an upright position for 4 hours following treatment to limit the spread of the substance at the injection site. There is a particular risk of eyelid or eyebrow complications should you apply pressure to the treated area.
